Today saw the first summit finish of the year in Europe as riders took to the roads of Mont Faron. The 5km 10% average climb was enough to split the peloton and see Maxime Monfort take the race leaders jersey into the final day. French Favourite 35 year old Jean-Christophe Péraud AG2R took the stage victory at the summit of Mont Faron in style.
